Pokémon fans have a new way to bring their favorite characters into their everyday listening experience. Beats, in partnership with The Pokémon Company International, has launched the special-edition Pokémon x Beats Pill, a portable Bluetooth speaker featuring Pikachu and Mimikyu-inspired artwork, collectible charms, and the same core audio features as the standard Beats Pill.
Announced on October 13, 2026, the Pokémon-themed speaker became available on October 15. Priced at $149.99 in the United States, the collaboration combines a familiar portable speaker design with character-inspired styling aimed at Pokémon collectors and music fans.
Pokémon x Beats Pill: Design and Special Features
The Pokémon x Beats Pill features Pikachu and Mimikyu artwork across its speaker grille. Pikachu is represented by its signature electric-yellow color, while Mimikyu appears in grayscale. The design gives the speaker a distinctive look without introducing a different hardware platform.
The special edition also includes a color-matched removable carry lanyard and Pokémon-themed charms. The accessories include a Poké Ball, the Beats logo, and Pikachu-inspired lightning bolts. Special packaging adds another collectible element, with an interactive design featuring the two Pokémon.
Beats has also included themed stickers in the package. These additions distinguish the special edition from the regular Beats Pill, making it particularly relevant to fans interested in Pokémon merchandise as well as portable audio equipment.
Battery Life, Audio Quality, and Connectivity
Beyond its themed exterior, the Pokémon x Beats Pill retains the standard model’s key audio features. Beats advertises up to 24 hours of battery life on a single charge, although actual playback time varies depending on volume, device settings, and usage conditions.
The speaker has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for a range of everyday environments. However, dust and water resistance can decrease with normal wear, and the speaker should not be charged while wet.
For audio playback, the device supports high-resolution lossless audio when connected to a compatible source through USB-C. Users can also wirelessly connect two compatible Beats Pill speakers in Amplify Mode or Stereo Mode to expand their listening setup.
The USB-C port provides another practical feature: the speaker can charge a compatible phone using the included USB-C cable. Combined with its removable lanyard and portable design, these features make the device suitable for listening at home, during travel, or at outdoor gatherings where its operating conditions allow.
Pokémon x Beats Pill Price and Availability
The Pokémon x Beats Pill launched on October 15, 2026, with a U.S. price of $149.99. In the United States, customers can purchase it through Apple’s online store and Target’s website and select stores.
In the United Kingdom, the speaker is available through Apple’s online store and Argos, including select retail locations. Apple’s U.K. listing prices the special edition at £149.99. In China, the announced sales channels include Apple’s online store and Douyin.
The initial launch covers the United States, the United Kingdom, and China. India was not included in the announced availability regions, so buyers there should not assume that an official local release or Indian retail price has been confirmed.
Is the Pokémon Bluetooth Speaker Different From the Standard Beats Pill?
The main difference is the Pokémon-themed design and the included accessories. The special edition retains the standard Beats Pill’s core hardware features, including its advertised battery life, IP67 dust and water resistance, USB-C connectivity, and wireless speaker-pairing options.
That means the purchase decision largely comes down to whether buyers value the Pikachu and Mimikyu artwork, themed charms, and special packaging. Those features may appeal to Pokémon fans and collectors, while buyers primarily interested in sound and functionality can also consider the standard Beats Pill at the same U.S. list price.
What Buyers Should Know
The Pokémon x Beats Pill is a character-themed version of an established portable Bluetooth speaker rather than an entirely new speaker platform. Its headline features are the distinctive Pikachu and Mimikyu design, up to 24 hours of advertised battery life, IP67 dust and water resistance, USB-C lossless audio, and the ability to pair compatible Beats Pill speakers.
With a $149.99 U.S. price and an initial rollout across three markets, the new collaboration gives Pokémon fans another officially branded accessory to consider. Buyers should check local availability and retailer listings before purchasing, particularly outside the announced launch regions.
