DMCA Policy

NYControl respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users and contributors to do the same. This policy outlines our procedure for addressing claims of copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

1. Our Commitment

We publish original content and properly attribute or link to third-party sources when referencing external reporting or data. If you believe content on NYControl infringes your copyright, we take that seriously and will investigate promptly.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on our Site in a way that constitutes infringement, please submit a written notice that includes the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • Identification of the material you claim is infringing, including the specific URL(s) on nycontrol.com where the material is located
  • Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

3. Our Response Process

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Review the claim
  • Remove or disable access to the material identified as infringing, if the claim is valid
  • Notify the party who posted or is responsible for the content, where applicable

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location on the Site before removal
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district, and that you will accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA notice

5. Repeat Infringers

We reserve the right to remove content and, where applicable, take action against accounts or contributors found to be repeat infringers of copyright.
